⁶ For we know that our old self^[a](A) was crucified with Him^(B) in order that sin’s dominion over the body^[b] may be abolished,^(C) so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin, ⁷ since a person who has died^(D) is freed^[c] from sin’s claims.^{[d] 8} Now if we died with Christ,^(E) we believe that we will also live with Him,
